ORGANIZATION: Northern Virginia Family Service

Northern Virginia Family Service seeks volunteers to ensure that low-income, uninsured and underinsured clients get access to affordable dental care so they can maintain their health.

Volunteers Duties:

• Conduct phone screenings to determine client eligibility for program services and provide assessment, intake and enrollment when appropriate
• Assist with group client intake, distributing paperwork and assisting those needind additional help during the presentation
• Return phone calls and assist walk-ins to potential clients
• Prepare and mail program application forms
• Assist with client data support

Strong communication skills, patience and Spanish-speaking a plus. This is a great opportunity for a college student interested in nonprofits, global health or someone who has a passion for helping families in need.
