ORGANIZATION: Midland County Habitat for Humanity

A crew leader by definition is a person responsible for the supervision and management of crews. Our Crew Leaders will serve as a teacher, work supervisor, consultant, coach, and community liaison in order to enhance teamwork and productivity. Crew leaders will receive training, as well as, safety certification.

Qualification of Position (Experience Needed): Our Crew Leaders have all different backgrounds and while basic construction knowledge is preferred, it is also important Crew Leaders are able to connect and teach people of all different skill levels.

Time Commitment: After the initial training process, we ask our Crew Leaders to volunteer on one of our sites once a week. Most construction will occur 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends possible.

Location of Volunteer Work: The location will be dependent on the current construction site, crew leaders will be informed of location throughout the build cycle. Most of the construction work is done within the City of Midland. We also work on homes within Midland County as well.

Responsibility: Once on site you will be given a group of about 3-5 volunteers to lead in a task you feel comfortable teaching. You will work with these volunteers on completing the task, ensure everyone in your group is engaged and help maintain a safe work site.
