Museum Store Volunteers provide many essential services to our guests, visitors and partons. They work side-by-side with staff to help create a great museum retail experience. Our volunteers create excellent customer service through greeting and assisting guests who visit the Museum Store. They learn to work with the computerized xcash register as well as help maintain a neat and tidy appearance in the Museum Store. There are opportunities to assist with selecting, restocking and displaying merchandise. In addition, our Museum Store volunteers provide general information about msueum programs and exhibitions.

The volunteer mission is to supplement the mission of the Peoria Riverfront Museum by providing genuine hospitality to visitors, engaging visitors in educational programming, assisting with the interpretation of exhibitions, and inspiring the community through the value of volunteer service.
The Peoria Riverfront Museum is a one-of-a-kind collaboration where visitors can explore and learn about the world--from our own backyards to far-off galaxies. We focus on interdisciplinary learning--a fusion of art, history, science, and achievement designed to develop knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.
