The 2014 Triangle Heart Walk will be held on Sunday, September 28 at the PNC Arena in Raleigh. With a goal to host over 20,000 walkers and raise over $1.2 million, we need your help in our mission to build healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke. There are two volunteer shifts:
SET UP: 8:00am - 12:00pm
EVENT: 11:30am - 3:30pm
Please contact caitlin.conklin@heart.org no later than Monday, 9/22 to sign up to volunteer. Include in your message: preferred volunteer shift, email address for contact.
**All high school groups must have 1 adult supervisor for every group of volunteers. 1 adult per 10 high school students preferred.**

Description
The American Heart Association is a national non-profit organization, headquartered in Dallas, TX. We have local offices that conduct fundraising activities such as the Children's Heart Challenge, Hoops for Heart, the Heart Walk and Heart Galas. We educate the public on risk factors for heart disease and stroke, as well as share our guidelines for heart healthy activity. We also work with local elected officials to pass life-saving legislation and health care initiatives.
