ORGANIZATION: Good Seed Community Development Corporation

Youth shelter for young men ages 18-25 in South Los Angeles seeking a supplies management volunteer. Twice a month the supplies management volunteer will purchase groceries and supplies at Restaurant Depot and Costco and deliver them to the shelter. This volunteer position requires that you own a station wagon, SUV, or larger vehicle for transportation. You supply the gas while we provide the funds and the grocery list. The ideal volunteer is patient, trustworthy, reliable and has a sincere desire to help those less fortunate than themselves. Each year, Good Seed helps over 150 youth transition from homelessness to stable housing with the generous support and dedication of volunteers like you.

Description

Good Seed CDC mission is to design, develop, and implement programs and services that will help underprivileged and/or distressed youth grow and develop into socially conscious, well rounded, and productive individuals. This shall be accomplished, in part, by providing innovative programs and services, including enhanced emergency shelter services, long term housing, education & employment assistance, enrichment programs, mental health and other supportive services.
