Are you interested inmaking a difference in people’s lives? The NAMI Information HelpLine is contacted over 100,000 times a year by people needing help. To meet this need, the HelpLine depends on many volunteers and interns who care deeply about improving the lives of people impacted by mental illness. Working alongside NAMI staff, they provide the best information, referrals and support that NAMI offers, and in return, volunteers and interns receive extensive firsthand experience that allows them to develop a unique understanding of the people and issues surrounding mental illness.

Do you:

  • Have experience with mental health conditions and recovery either as a person living with mental illness, a loved one or a professional or student?
  • Want to help others facing mental health challenges?
  • Are you available for one 4 hour shift per week?

If so, your knowledge and experience could make you a valuable volunteer with the NAMI HelpLine. We treasure our volunteers, and encourage you to consider joining our team of dedicated volunteers and staff.
