The Relay For Life of King George is looking for volunteers for our Event Leadership Team. We are looking for individuals to join us as Youth Champions. This would be a great volunteer opportunity for students!
Youth Champions are individuals who get schools involved with the local Relay For Life event. They set personal goals as to how many new teams they want to get signed up for Relay For Life for 2015. They would work with their school administrators to get the teams signed up. Teams can come from anywhere: Key Club, Football Team, Cheerleaders, Honor's Society, Spanish Club, etc.
The teams would go to the Relay's website to register their team and sign up the participants. After they have registered, the teams will set individual and team fundraising goals and plan fundraisers throughout the year. Then, the teams will come out to the Relay For Life event where they will have space reserved for their team to set up a canopy and grill out together, play games, and continue fundraising.
The Youth Champion would work throughout the year to get special announcements made to announce the team's fundraisers and even create some fun competitions between the teams!
