Volunteers of America Texas is in search of creative and energetic individuals to lead arts & crafts classes for the women at LIGHT, a residential substance abuse treatment facility for women and women with children.
The arts & crafts leader will be responsible for teaching a craft such as knitting or crocheting, origami, painting, etc. to the women in treatment and for helping them complete their projects. Volunteers should be able to demonstrate patience and have knowledge of the craft they will be teaching.
Volunteers with a desire to provide women with a creative outlet to boost their confidence and help them successfully complete their treatment are encouraged to apply.
