Do you have a passion for helping others in need?

Are you interested in becoming an Emergency Disaster Services volunteer?

Are you curious about how a Disaster Canteen functions and operates?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then this is for you! On Saturday, October 4th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, we will be holding a training / informational opportunity for those interested in becoming Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) volunteers for The Salvation Army New Orleans Area Command (interested applicants must be 18 years of age or above). We will show you how our Disaster Canteen operates, what we do during a disaster, and of course, answer any questions that you may have.

This event will be held at our new disaster warehouse located at 18000 Fabrication Row, Suite 19, Covington, LA 70435. We will also have a bus available at our main facility that will transport volunteers to the warehouse, if needed. If you plan to take the bus, please arrive at 4500 South Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125 at 9:00 AM sharp.
