Tech tutor

Do you know your way around some of these these:

  • iPhones
  • androids
  • Windows 10
  • Macs
  • Social Media
  • eReaders
Not everyone else finds it so easy. In fact, many find it daunting. You can help others to overcome their fear as a library Tech Tutor.

We are currently (February 2020) most in need of volunteers with Mac and iOS experience. Experience with other devices in addition would be helpful, but is not necessary at this time.

Our library has a well established Technology Tutoring program staffed entirely by volunteers. With scheduled one-on-one sessions they help library patrons troubleshoot and learn new things about their personal tech devices and library PCs.

You can help too. You don't have to know everything about every device, but a fearless approach to technology is helpful. Some training is available. A criminal background check is required at library expense.

We are seeking Tech Tutors who can commit to at least one 2-hour time block each week for a minimum of 6 months. You can choose the day and time that suits you best within our normal operating hours.

If you have questions, let's talk.
