Idaho State Parks, in partnership with The Idaho Songwriter's Association is producing a small pilot concert to kick-off a potentially larger series called, "Original Music in Our Parks" Concerts. This very first concert will be held outdoors at Sandy Point Park.
Get in on this exciting new endeavor with us by assisting with set-up, take-down, and/or clean-up for this event AND enjoy this intimate music experience with these local musicians:
- Rebecca Scott
- Gayle Chapman
- Kenny Saunders
- Rod Dyer
- Jack Lloyd Gish
- BFD Trio--Bud Gundmanson, Fonny Davidson, & Divit Cardoza
21 and older volunteers are needed:
* Assist with canopy set up/take down
* park monitor during the concert
* Seating
* Will-Call tickets
* Assist bikers and give directions/information
* After the concert for park clearn up/trash pick-up
With a 2-hour commitment volunteers get free entrance to Sandy Point and are invited to listen to the concert between 1-4 pm.

Description
Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation is proud to manage it's 30 state parks and when you visit one of them you'll understand why. They are located in some of the most scenic areas of the state. Some are located in spectacular natural settings. Some are at sites of historic significance. Others are located in prime, Grade A recreation sites near rivers and lakes where you and your family can play in a safe, clean environment. Rock climbing meccas, sand dunes, ghost towns or historic trails. Idaho State Parks have something for everyone! If you find yourself near a state park with an interpretive center, be sure to stop by. You'll find the centers' educational and informative and they'll give you a hands-on experience about a natural or historic site. The Idaho state park rangers are friendly and knowledgeable and have been recognized as some of the best in the West.
