ORGANIZATION: Hearing Loss Association - Lakeland Chapter

Hearing Loss Association - Lakeland Chapter
We help people to manage their hearing loss.

We are a Hearing Loss support group. We have monthly Chapter meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Currently, we have a CART (captioning) provider who attends our meetings and provides CART services Pro Bono. Occassionally, our CART provider is unable to attend our meetings, due to scheduling conflicts. We need an experienced volunteer CART provider who can come to our meetings, sometimes with short notice.

We meet at the First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Dr., Lakeland, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. We have a projector and screen available, but you would need to bring your own laptop and CART unit.

The duty is to enter all spoken words, which is to be projected on the screen for the entire group to read. If possible, we would like the recorded text to be sent to us after the meeting, as this will be included with meeting minutes, which will be sent to all Chapter members.
