Calling all volunteers! Hold materials phone notification volunteers wanted

The Highland Park Public Library is looking for volunteers to assist with making phone calls to inform patrons that the items that they've requested are available for pickup. Volunteers would be responsible for:

• Calling patrons to let them know that the item(s) that they have requested are now available.
• Providing the date in which we will hold these materials through
• Maintaining patron confidentiality
• "Wrapping" and shelving materials on the holds shelve in the lobby

Volunteers must be able to operate a mutli-line phone system and be highly detail orientated. Volunteers must also be customer/patron focused with an outgoing and friendly demeanor when calling patrons. Volunteers will need to be able to bend and crouch at times when shelving hold items.

Current activity needs include:

Tuesdays: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Fridays: 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Saturdays: 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This volunteer position is clerical in nature.
