60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes...That's all it takes to change someone's future!

The Arlington Reads' Pre-GED program is still looking for Math Tutors for our adult education classes. The ideal volunteer will have the patience and ability to teach fundamental math skills (5th - 8th grade level) to adult students who are in need of additional math help before entering the GED preparation program.

Our Pre-GED and GED programs operate on a semester basis. Volunteers should be able to commit to tutoring students or assisting the primary Pre-GED instructor at least once a week, up until May 9, 2015.

Interested volunteers should apply at: www.arlingtonlibrary.org/volunteer

We will provide all the training, materials, and support you need to get started! The only thing we require is YOU! If you can remember the Order of Operations, Add, Subtract, Divide, Multiply and do all of the above with simple fractions, then you can tutor an adult student in Pre-GED math!

Just one hour, one day a week can change a person's tomorrow!
