Contact individual schools by email and phone, on a case by case basis, to inform them about how they can receive funding. Respond to inquiries from schools about how they can receive funding.

Contact schools associations with information about how PeaceMaker Minnesota can help their members reduce bullying and teach positive relational skills.

Template information for communicating with schools and school related associations would be provided.

Your goal is to help us increase the number of schools that we support. In doing so, you will help to reduce bullying and teach children positive relational skills.

You would be part of PeaceMaker Minnesota's School Recruiting Committee that meets once a quarter in the evening at the Caribou on Snelling Avenue, just south of Highway 36, in Roseville.

To help create a more peaceful world, our mission to help schools to be safer places, free from bullying and harassment, and to help students learn positive relational skills like empathy, cooperation and how to resolve conflicts peacefully.

Description

PeaceMaker provides the following services:

  • Financial Services provides funding to K - 12 schools to support their efforts to buy curriculum, purchase supplies and to obtain training for staff or students to stop bullying and to learn conflict resolution skills. Financial Services also provides books for students in grades K - 3 to learn the importance of standing up for oneself and others, how to talk through problems, how to make and be a friend and how to respond to teasing.
  • Ambassadors for Respect Program , in which individuals with developmental disabilities teach fourth grade students how to include others, to use Person First language, and to be an advocate for themselves and others.
  • Peace Guide Service arranges for PeaceMaker Minnesota employees to work at schools serving students K - 8 to help youth gain problem solving skills and to improve a school’s climate.
