Mission Statement
To provide the frail elderly and disabled with caring and quality services that cannot be met by other means. These services are to be provided with a goal of enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual well-being consistent with the Christian Gospel.
Description
Faith in Action of Lake County is a program whose primary focus is to provide assistance to the frail elderly and disabled through the collaborative effort of volunteers from diverse faith congregations. The program aims to offer those types of services that enable care recipients to remain living independently and increase community access for those who would otherwise be isolated. These services are provided with the ideal of enhancing the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of both the care recipients and the volunteer care givers.
Volunteers provide services such as:- Friendly visiting and companionship.
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Errands (picking up groceries, prescriptions, etc.).
- Local transportation to doctor's appointments, church services, and other activities.
