Calling All Volunteers!
November 7, 2015 will mark the 8th annual Fight For Air Climb: Springfield event at One Monarch Place, and we want YOU there! This fundraising "vertical marathon" will put the physical strength, stamina, and lung power of each participant to the test by allowing climbers to race, run, or walk up Springfield's tallest building. Firefighters compete in the challenge in full gear, and an after party/ award ceremony will follow the event to celebrate top times and high fundraisers. Proceeds raised will support lung disease research, education, advocacy, and programs and services of the American Lung Association. We are currently seeking volunteers to join the festivities and lend a helping hand. At present time, we are anticipating approximately 300 participants for the event, and therefore need about 50 volunteers to contribute services from 7:00AM- 12 Noon. Duties will include registration assistance, cheerleaders and route guides, vendor assistance, etc. All volunteers are able to receive community service recognition for their hard work, and will receive a free t-shirt and entry into the event’s after party! So round up your friends and family members; Come join the American Lung Association and be a part of this unique opportunity.
