ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To assist Youth Coordinators with overseeing all aspects of the Los Angeles Region Youth Program. A Youth Advisor helps coordinate programs and events that aim to: recruit new youth volunteers, retain and engage current volunteers, and mentor and empower the youth to cultivate their leadership skills.

OPEN TIME DAYS
Minimum of 2 hours per month (Includes 1 youth meeting and monthly Youth Advisor Conference Call)

REQUIRED TRAINING

- Prospective Volunteer Bootcamp (Orientation, Disaster Services Overview, and Disaster Action Team Workshop) *Required*
- New Youth Volunteer Orientation (online) *Recommended*
