ORGANIZATION: Project HEAL

This critical role involves communicating with major funders in the corporate, government and foundation spheres. You will independently research foundations, corporations and private grant makers that align with the Project HEAL mission, and craft proposals to support and expand Project HEAL’s scholarship fund and other activities.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Identify prospective funders and maintain a grant submission calendar.

Write clear, compelling, well-researched proposals for donors.

Monitor progress of current grant-funded projects and prepare reports for funders as needed.

Connect organization’s leadership with granting organizations to enhance funding opportunities.

Qualifications

- A passion for Project HEAL and desire to help its growth.

- Prior grant writing experience is helpful.

- Must be able to commit to 5-10- 15 hours per week.

- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously

- Strong writing skills.

- Ability to analyze complex issues, summarize key findings and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.

- Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks

- Strong Computer Skills, PC with experience in Windows NT, Excel, Powerpoint and other applicable software

- Integrity, honesty, openness and a willingness to operate as a team player

Mission Statement

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.

Description

Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.

We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
