PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Support state-wide disaster response by managing the regional Fire Line, triaging calls and dispatching Disaster Action Teams (DATs) as necessary. Assist the DATs through administrative projects and support, as time allows.
OPEN TIME DAYS
•｠｠｠ Consistent, weekly commitment preferred. Weekdays, business hours only.
We currently have availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
•｠｠｠ Disaster Services: An Overview.
•｠｠｠ Familiarity with Disaster Action Team procedures and requirements.
•｠｠｠ Familiarity with Volunteer Connection or willingness to learn.
•｠｠｠ Participation in Dispatch Training.
•｠｠｠ Familiarity with Client Casework preferred.

Whether it is standing with a family on the sidewalk at a house fire to offer comfort and care or it is contacting someone in the armed services who has a new baby, the Red Cross is a gentle presence of compassion and assistance.
