This computer class will provide hospital employees with the basic computer skills needed to participate in an upcoming employee training for a new in-house software program. Topics include the names of hardware and software, basic mouse and keyboard skills, and an introduction to data entry.
Volunteers will circulate during the class, offering individual help to people as they follow the lesson of the instructor. All of the students are employees of Brigham and Women's and Faulkner Hospital.
Wednesdays, mornings or afternoons, February and March 2015.
Requirements:
- Ability to consistently attend the class every week.
- Patience with adults, many of whom will be working on a computer for the first time.
- Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences, speaking slowly to non-native speakers of English.
