San Francisco nonprofit Real Options for City Kids (R.O.C.K.) is seeking volunteers for a variety of seasonal Saturday programs. Programs run for 6 straight Saturdays in the Fall, Winter and Spring and we require that volunteers can commit to at least 3 of the 6 Saturdays. The following are the different programs...
Skill Drills
Skill Drills is a sports skill development program for boys and girls in 1 st-5 th grade. These fun, introductory sports clinics focus on three rotating sports including soccer, basketball and volleyball during the school year. Each Skill Drill series lasts for 6 weeks on consecutive Saturday mornings. During each three-hour session, a program specialist assists volunteers in leading participants through non-competitive skill development exercises and team building activities.
Student Adult Leadership Training (SALT)
SALT is designed to provide R.O.C.K.’s middle and high school participants with new and challenging outdoor adventure opportunities as well as community service activities. Like Skill Drills, SALT is held for 6 weeks on consecutive Saturdays during the fall, winter and spring.
