Help protect Puget Sound this summer by joining us for an event where we test vehicles for leaks and drips - and talk to the community about vehicle leaks and drips making their way into storm water and going directly intoPuget Sound! Join Sound Salmon Solutions and WSU Snohomish County Extension as we host a series of events this summer, for the Don’t Drip and Drive campaign.
This 3 year campaign aims to test more than 10,000 vehicles throughout the summer of 2014 by involving more than 10 non-profit organizations. Volunteer for 4 hours or stay all day-we will offer training and welcome individuals, students, youth ages 14 and up, groups and families to join us for a day of volunteering!
No experience necessary, volunteers will help with testing vehicles, talking to the public and working at our information booth. This event will be held at Monroe Sno-Isle Library.
Wear closed toed shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather! We will provide tools, snacks and water!

Description
In 1990 the Washington State Legislature chartered nonprofit organizations called Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups (RFEGs) to promote, support, and realize salmon recovery programs and projects in our watersheds. Sound Salmon Solutions (originally known as the Stilly Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force) is one of 14 RFEGs in the state. For 25 years we have supported salmon recovery in the Stillaguamish, Snohomish, and South Island County watersheds by connecting people to their watersheds through interactive education, hands-on stewardship and state-of-the-art habitat restoration.
