ORGANIZATION: Goodskills Literacy Corps

Hello Residents of Stafford,

Currently, GoodSkills Literacy Corps, a program affiliated with Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, is seeking volunteers who are willing to be dedicated Adult Literacy Tutors for individuals in your area. No experience is necessary, only an interest in making a positive change in an adult's life! We will provide you with training, tutoring material, and anything else you need.

The number of adults who can't read in our communities are surprising, and not in a good way. Our mission at GoodSkills Literacy Corps is to help these illiterate adults reach their goals of literacy. Gaining these skills that YOU can tutor to these greatful individuals will help them in so many ways that there is not enough room here to list them all. Please consider this volunteer opportunity because there is someone out there could really use your help!

GoodSkills Literacy Corps utilizes full-time AmeriCorps members and volunteers to perform direct service activities including tutoring individuals and teaching small groups in the areas of literacy, numeracy and basic computing skills.
