Looking for Green Thumbs

The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a few residents to donate time to help with landscape beautification. To help provide detailed maintenance and enhance the city's goal of improving the beautification of the community, the department is looking to add 3-4 Landscape Beautification Specialists.

These volunteers may work on a number of city properties in the area, however the main focus will be on golf courses. "The visual enhancement of city properties is critical to the quality of life and community pride in our community. With limited staff, detailed assistance is needed to help elevate our standard of care", stated Gary Packan, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation.

To apply as a volunteer, please go to http://naturallyfun.org/info/volunteer. You must select ongoing volunteer to create an account on the City of Arlington’s online volunteer management system. Creating an account in this system will start a background check and provide you with a way to track your volunteer hours. Please note that accounts with no activity for 6 months will be archived automatically.
