ORGANIZATION: North Valley Caring Services

To help address the extreme poverty and homelessness pervasive in NVCS’ community, NVCS provides twice a month a food pantry. Anyone that lives in the San Fernando Valley and is need of food can participate in this program. Volunteers will be responsible for organizing and sorting non-perishable food, as well as creating food bags.

Description

In the Breakfast Program we are seeking volunteers to help prepare the Breakfast meal. We are also in need of gym monitor's , shower monitor's and volunteers to help us clean after the program has ended. This program is held three times a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 am to 9:00am In the Food Pantry we need volunteers to organize and sort non-perishable food and create food bags. (Volunteers are needed Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 12:00pm) In our Youth Program we are seeking volunteers to tutor and mentor students; as well create arts and craft activities and sports with them. ( Program hours are Monday to Thursday from 2:30pm to 6:00pm)
