Chaparral House, a small non-profit nursing home located in central Berkeley near the North Berkeley BART stations is looking for volunteers to work with our residents in a sensory stimulation activity program.

We will train the right person to lead a small sensory stimulation group of elder residents (2-4) who no longer have the cognitive ability to participate in large group activities.

We currently need a volunteesr for Wed & Fri 10:45am-12pm. We are looking for volunteers who can make at least a 4-6 month commitment.

If you have an interest in learning how to work with people using the five senses rather than language and the mind, then this could be a great opportunity for you.

College students, adults and seniors are all welcome!
