Chaparral House is a small non-profit nursing home located in central Berkeley with lovely gardens and yards.
Do you belong to a group that's looking for volunteer projects? We are looking for organized volunteer groups to volunteer for a morning to tackle major projects or to weed, prune, clear and plant under our gardener's supervision. We prefer to schedule this on a Saturday morning from 10 am - 1 pm. This could be a one shot deal or on a sporadic basis. We prefer groups of 15 or less. This is a great service project for groups. If you have a different service day set and hours needed we most likely can be flexible.
