Hope Community Resource Center provides after school tutoring, originally in Gentilly and the East) using our local library system. We are expanding our services in the westbank and need volunteers to assist with tutoring on Mondays through Fridays after school hours. Presently, we are using facilities of the Algiers Regional Library, 3014 Holiday Drive, NOLA 70131. We will be expanding to additional libraries on both sides of the river as the need develops.
Applicants should be comfortable working one-on-on with students Tutors will use the students' school curriculum with special emphasis on the individual students’ needs.. Please email resumes and indicate the tutoring subject of your interest in your email heading. We have great needs for Reading, English, Math, Science and Test Prep tutors.

The HOPE Community Resource Center is a partnership among parents, youth, and the community committed to nurturing, supporting, educating, and strengthening family life through quality child, youth, and family development. The Center serves the New Orleans metropolitan area(New Orleans east families) and facilitates child and family issues with an emphasis on community collaboration.
Description
The main goal ofHopeCommunityResourceCenteris to continue to provide educational, tutoring, and mentorship support for youth through facilitating community partnerships. The center has provided free weekly after school and summer tutoring for area youth for the past two years. The center has also worked with the local community to provide an educational summer camp experience to children that live in theNew Orleansarea, particularly theNew Orleanseast area which suffers from a lack of resources for families and children. We also provide adult literacy services to the surrounding community.
