The Aurora Public Library is seeking a book shelver to help us keep library materials in order and make it easier for patrons to access them.
Duties & Responsibilities
Shelve returned books
Shelf read to make sure books are in order
Set up for and clean up after program.
Qualifications:
- Ability to sort materials in alphabetical and/or Dewey Decimal order (will train)
- Ability to bend to floor level or reach a height of 66 inches
- Ability to read a minimum print size (12 pt)
- Ability to work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers
- General familiarity with libraries a plus
Time Commitment
2 hours weekly
Day of the week dependent on volunteer’s schedule
