The Aurora Public Library is seeking an energetic and community driven person to be a Spanish Bilingual Storytime Leader, who will be in charge of planning and performing a bi-weekly storytime. The Storytime Leader will choose themes and select which books to read. The leader is welcome to include additional activities, such as singing, crafting, puppets, etc.
Time Commitment
Bi-weekly, 20-30 minutes
Day of the week dependent on volunteer’s schedule
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver bi-weekly interactive storytime
Plan storytime themes, activities, or crafts
Set up for and clean up after program.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and community members.
Enjoy working with young children and engaging with their caregivers
Ability to read-aloud to children in an entertaining manner.
Training or experience as a teacher, tutor, parent or youth volunteer helpful
