Quantum Leap Farm helps people of all ages and abilities by engaging them in therapeutic activities with horses. We welcome children with cancer, injured soldiers, special needs kids, and adults with multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease. Volunteers work side by side with therapists, instructors, and barn managers, assisting with therapeutic sessions, horse care, barn chores, and fun special events. Description
Quantum Leap Farm is a 501 (c) (3) charity located in Odessa, Florida and was founded in 2000 to serve civilian adults , children and war veterans with mental and physical disabilities. January 19, 2015 will proudly mark the 15th Anniversary of our organization. Quantum Leap Farm participants range in age from 2 to 92 years. They are diagnosed with a variety of conditions including traumatic brain injury, post traumatic stress disorder, as well as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Down syndrome, autism, and cerebral palsy.
We provide therapeutic horseback riding, hippotherapy with a physical or occupational therapist, carriage driving, equine assisted behavioral health services, and a variety of equine experiential learning programs.
Additionally we offer opportunities for individuals, students, or organizations to conduct community service projects, accumulate community service hours, and host a variety of family and corporate functions.
