Teaching artist assistants are an essential element in making Jubilee Arts a safe, fun and creative space for our youth. As an assistant you will have an incredible opportunity to get to know our youth, create art with them, and be a part of their growth as young artists. Our lead artists truly depend on our teaching assistants in making our art classes a success. Volunteers responsibilities include: -Working with lead teacher to implement art projects -Assisting youth with their projects -Taking attendance -Serving dinner -Making reminder phone calls to participants -Assisting youth and lead teacher with set-up and clean-up. Volunteers are asked to commit to coming once a week to assist in one class over the course of the session.

Description

Jubilee, is the newest program of the 501©3 nonprofit Newborn Holistic Ministries, Inc. also known as "Newborn" which was founded in 1996 by a life-long community resident of Sandtown, Elder C.W. Harris. Here At Jubilee Arts, residents have the opportunity to realize their talents in different areas of the creative arts by exploring a variety of mediums in the visual arts, various dance classes and creative writing forms. Jubilee’s programs are built on the understanding that an introduction to the arts can increase learning skills, and self-discovery, by providing a stimulating environment.
