Organization
Collective Roots is a nonprofit based in East Palo Alto with less than ten full and part time staff and an annual budget of $500K. Founded in 2000 at Belle Haven School in Menlo Park, Collective Roots initially focused on involving students, teachers, and community members in planting and sustaining multiple garden plots used for educational purposes. Collective Roots endeavors to expand its impact by engaging people in growing, producing, and distributing their own food in order to build healthier, more self010reliant communities.
Position
The Manager of Community Initiatives oversees the Backyard Gardener Network, a program that supports residential food producers and community garden partnerships. We seek a dynamic leader and innovator. This position will report to the Executive Director.

East Palo Alto’s deep history of agriculture shows how the cultivation and distribution of food can strengthen people and fortify communities. Through programs like our Backyard Gardener Network and weekly farmers' market, we work side-by-side with East Palo Alto to cultivate a healthier, stronger, and more connected community by building a more robust local food system.
