Description : Legal Internship for Fall 2014, September 8th to December 12 th (Dates are flexible per student’s class schedule and availability)
0B7 Outline of tasks/duties: The Intern will work closely with the housing attorney at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and perform legal research in substantive areas of law that face low-income consumers, including: landlord/tenant, debt collection, mortgage foreclosures, etc. The intern will meet with clients, correspond with courts and opposing counsel on cases, draft pleadings, and perform basic legal research and memo-writing.
0B7 Time commitment: The internship requires a time commitment of 10 hours a week.
0B7 Qualifications: Current law student
0B7 Supervision: Intern reports directly to Chase Haller, Housing Attorney.

Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic (NCLC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation offering pro bono legal representation and preventive law education to low-income families, including immigrant families. We accept clients in the greater Indianapolis metro area whose income is at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines.
