• September 20, 9:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Fall Foliage Walk and Training at the Testimonial Gateway (meet at the Breezy Lawn Barn). An introduction to the hows and whys of fall color change. In addition, we will practice estimation techniques for those who wish to go beyond recording phenophases - you can also collect and submit data on abundance and percentage. Registration required. To register email volunteers@mohonkpreserve.org

Mohonk Preserve protects the Shawangunk ecosystem through land management practices based on sound ecological research; Preserves the cultural landscape in harmony with its history and heritage; Provides education for children that increases their understanding of the relationships between themselves and nature; Promotes responsible recreation and quiet enjoyment of the land in keeping with its fragility, serenity, and natural beauty.
