Help Bring Healthy Foods to Children in North Philly - and eat free!

Community Partnership School is an independent elementary school in North Central Philadelphia dedicated to providing children from low-income, low-wealth backgrounds with a high quality and affordable education.

Each week, we work with the Vetri Foundation for Children to provide a healthy, nutritious (and delicious!) family-style lunch to our pre-K through 5 th grade students. The Vetri Eatiquette Lunch Program helps children understand the core concepts of healthy eating, practice table manners, and enjoy a freshly-prepared lunch with their classmates and other members of the community.

We are seeking 5 committed volunteers to help us each week. Volunteers will:

• Assist our chef in preparing food from fresh, whole ingredients prior to the lunch.
• Help set up the dining room by ensuring that each table has the appropriate number of chairs and food supplies.
• Enjoy a delicious community meal with our students.
• Assist in the cleanup process, including helping students bus tables, bringing dishes to the kitchen, and loading the dishwasher.

The Vetri Eatiquette Lunch Program happens every Friday. Volunteers are needed:

• Thursdays, 1:30-4:00 p.m., to help our chef prepare food for Friday's lunch.
• Fridays, 9:00-2:00 p.m., to help with food prep, food service, and cleanup.

Prior culinary experience is appreciated, but not mandatory. Just bring a love for healthy, delicious foods and/or our adorable pre-K through 5 th grade students!
