Child Abuse Prevention Education Virtual Facilitator Customer Service Volunteers Needed

Childhelp is seeking volunteers for a new customer support team for our prevention education program that is now available for schools across the nation. Over 100,000 children, will receive the Childhelp Speak Up, Be Safe prevention program this school year, and we need volunteers to help us collect crucial data from the facilitators that will show the evidence and the value of the program. The volunteers will also answer questions that come in from schools, facilitators and parents via our online virtual platform. We are looking for candidates who are able to commit to a weekly set schedule between the hours of 8-5 Monday - Friday. The volunteers will work in 4 hour shifts with one to two shifts a week. The volunteers are a vital part of the success and future of child abuse prevention education in our schools. Childhelp is a national nonprofit that relies on volunteers, corporate sponsors, grants, donations and community support to ensure that all children are free from the traumas of childhood abuse. Ideal candidates for the position: Stay at home mom with children in school, recently retired, college student looking for an internship, former educators, background in child development, human services, customer service, or a passionate advocate for child abuse prevention. Future possibility of the volunteer position later turning into a paid position.

Candidates should have a pleasant speaking voice and basic computer skills. Customer service experience preffered, as well as proficient writing skills in grammar and spelling. The position has the possibliity of turning into a paid position for the right candidate.

Childhelp is a national nonprofit with fifty five years of dedicated efforts to the prevention and treatment of severly abused and neglected children. Through the Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe program children are taught to use their voices to speak up and get help when they are put in dangerous situations that could be harmful or that have caused them harm. The program was created in partnership with Arizona State University through research based studies of effective, age-appropriate comprehension for children in grades 1st through 6th. The program is currently being expanded to reach students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

Childhelp has saved over 9 million children through the programs and services we offer, and the Speak Up Be Safe prevention education program is vital to protecting innocent children from the traumas of bullying, child sexual abuse and more. It is an effective tool for protecting the children in every community.

Childhelp's approach focuses on prevention, intervention and treatment. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD , operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and receives calls from throughout the United States, Canada, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Childhelp's programs and services also include residential treatment services (villages); children's advocacy centers; therapeutic foster care; group homes; child abuse prevention, education and training; and the National Day of Hope , part of National Child Abuse Prevention Month every April.
