The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County is seeking volunteers to help support our public health and disaster response initiatives. Non-medical and medical volunteers are welcome!
Activities for volunteers may include participating at a special needs shelter during local hurricane evacuations, patient registration, filing, organizing, and other administrative needs, promoting healthy behaviors in the community, and collaborating on specific projects with Department of Health staff.
Volunteers will be assigned based on each individual's skill set, comfort level, and interests.
While acting on behalf of the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County, members are granted Sovereign Immunity (liability) protection and Workers Compensation coverage under the Florida State Volunteer 110 Program.
