The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program helps low-income families receive free tax preparation and receive free financial counseling. The program is heavily reliant upon volunteers and we need people who have a passion for serving the low-income population! Your job would be to greet clients, collect correct tax information, prepare tax returns, or let clients know about ways to save their money through smart saving skills and utilizing other programs offered by community partners. Prior tax preparation experience is not necessary. We will train you! Don't let taxes intimidate you, the skills you learn will carry throughout your life.
