Become a host family and impact the life of a teenager and learn another culture, just by being you! Our families are of varied economic, religious and racial backgrounds and include working parents, empty nesters, singles and single parents. Students are ages 15 - 18 years old, come from over 60 countries, and are excited to embrace your family's traditions and the American culture. Students have good English skills, bring their own spending money, and have medical and accidental insurance.
As a host family we ask that you provide:
Open communication, patience, and encouragement
A separate bed (which can be in a shared room with another youth of similar age/gender)
A place to study
Three daily meals
Local transportation
Treatment as a member of your family
You can become a Welcome Family for short term placements (1-2 months) or an Academic Year Program Family for longer placements (5-10 months).

Mission Statement
CCI Greenheart is a cultural exchange program dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness, and world peace. CCI Greenheart connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation, and cross cultural understanding.
Description
CCI Greenheart was established in 1985 and is designated by the United States Department of State as a J-1 Exchange Visitor Program Sponsor for the Secondary School, Intern and Trainee, and Summer Work/Travel programs. CCI Greenheart is currently granted full listing by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET). We are also a member of the World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation (WYSTC), WYSE: Work Abroad Association, and The Alliance for International Educational and Cultural Exchange. Individuals in our organization are also members of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. We currently serve almost 9,000 students annually and offer opportunities to our American and international participants to make a difference in the world through environmental and social service.
