Put your unique vision of the world to use! Lefferts Community Library is seeking volunteers to assist with craft projects and activity clubs for children from K - 8th grades. Volunteers will work with the Children's Librarian to create new projects that appeal to kids and inspire them to explore books, characters, stories, magazines, and music! Volunteers will help set-up new projects, work with children in both 1-on-1 and small groups, and help with clean-up. Requirements Interested in working on arts and craft activities; and possess an interest in the arts (music, drawing, writing/storytelling) Comfortable working with young children (4-6) and/or school-aged children (7-12). Be familiar with different literacy characters and/or able to use library resources (books, music, etc.) to help develop project ideas Volunteers are needed 2-3 days a week; Monday - Friday afternoon between 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
