North Star Youth Partnership helps youth choose healthy lifestyle behaviors that prevent violence; gang activity; substance use; and teen pregnancy through an array of programs that build self-confidence and leadership skills.

Mentoring directly and positively affects young teenage girls in building self-esteem. Young girls with healthy levels of self-esteem are less likely to use illegal drugs, begin using alcohol, skip school and develop unhealthy relationships. Girl Talk High School leaders lead all lessons and oversee Girl Talk Advisors and assist if needed in:

• the preparation and facilitation of Girl Talk meetings
• the coordination of community service projects
• the creation of promotional materials and meeting plans

Position is observatory in nature and serves as an added safety measure in the event of an emergency

3 different sites: Prescott Mile High Middle School, Granite Mountain Middle School, and Heritage Middle School.
