Greeters will complete all manner of tasks associated with working with the general public upon entering the Cemetery/Arboretum. Time expectations for this volunteer type are flexible, but must be within the normal operating hours of the Cemetery/Arboretum. [8:00 AM - 4:30 PM] Greeters are an integral component of the 'first’ face of the Cemetery/Arboretum. Particular attention must be paid to identifying visitor needs and either addressing those needs directly or via, proper etiquette, passing along the guest to the proper operational office to address the guest need.
Greeters are exposed to many tasks which enhance and enrich the visits of the General Public. Interest is growing concerning the cemetery and the 'Greeters' are the link to a successful visit. The Arboretum aspect of the grounds is of particular popular appeal currently. Getting to know a little about the trees, and the every growing gardens is another way people find Bellefontaine such a peaceful and enjoyable outing. Our Greeters can aid them greatly in navigating our 314 acres.
