Ethereal House is seeking a Community Relations Manager willing to share responsibility for planning, developing and carrying out programs to promote community awareness. An emphasis on building and cultivating personal connections with businesses, organizations, local governments and private donors over the long term will be the focus.
Other responsibilities include finding businesses willing to sponsor an event, writing news releases to promote an event, persuading local journalists and other media sources to cover events. Work with the Ethereal House online Social Media Leasion to coordinate marketing and event promotion.
The CRM will work directly with the Volunteer Coordinator forming committees relevant to the event or program who's talent and expertise include elements of event planning/fund raising, and marketing to develop committees to make the event or program a success.
A background in public relations or marketing will be helpful to interact effectively with the people and organizations the CRM needs to work with, so good interpersonal skills are a must for this volunteer position. Writing, editing and computer skills are also needed.

Ethereal House provides temporary, emergency care in a safe, alcohol/drug-free environment to traumatized seniors escaping physical or emotional abuse, financial mistreatment, homelessness or the effects of self-neglect.
Description
Our mission is simple; we provide temporary, emergency care in a safe, alcohol/drug-free environment to traumatized seniors escaping physical or emotional abuse, financial mistreatment, homelessness or the effects of self-neglect.
Once the doors are opened, our temporary emergency-shelter, licensed as a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, known as an RCFE or Board and Care Home, will provide up to 90 days temporary, round the clock care to seniors, 60 years or older, who cannot care for themselves. These facilities assist the senior with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, bathing, toileting and transferring. Generally, they are for-profit, long-term, private-pay homes. Ethereal House will contract with Riverside County to accept emergency placements through Adult Protective Services and accept the County-funded, low Non-Medical SSI Board and Care benefit. Traditional shelters are rarely equipped for the needs of these frail victims. Presently there are no shelter homes like this in Riverside County.
