PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Helping clients without other transportation options to and from medical appointments.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Minimum of a 6 month commitment, driving opportunities are ongoing. The transportation service transports clients from 8:00AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday, except for holidays.｠ Most shifts are 8 hours, from 7:30AM-3:00PM, and drivers are on a regular schedule.｠ Some 4-hour shifts are also available.
REQUIRED TRAINING- Orientation to American Red Cross.
- Transportation Service training
- Defensive Driving course.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- 8 hours of supervised driving with an experienced volunteer.
- 2-Way radio usage.
