The Killeen Hospice Compassus office is looking for you to help with telephone calls to patients, filing, special office projects, setting up patient charts, ect. Hospice is a service that helps people who are facing the end of their lives here on earth. Your volunteer hours would enable Hospice Compassus to do a better job at serving our patients. Mission Statement
The mission of Hospice Compassus is to honor life and offer hope to individuals facing a life-limiting illness by supporting them with compassion, integrity, and excellence. We provide services to relieve symptoms, manage pain, and give emotional and spiritual support to patients, families and caregivers.
Description
Our trained clinical team and volunteers work with the patient and patient's physician to create plans of care designed specifically for each patient and their loved ones to enhance comfort and quality of life. We provide nursing care, medications, medical equipment and supplies, routine breaks for caregivers, incontinence supplies, medical social services, crisis and spiritual counseling, 24 Hour On-Call Availability, bereavement services and volunteer services. The Care Team includes Medical Director Physician, Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists, Nursing Aides, Chaplains, Bereavement Counselors and Trained Volunteers.
