Volunteering for the American Cancer Society is a fun and rewarding experience! You can gain valuable skillsets to add to your resume while giving back to the Cancer Survivors in your community and helping us Finish the Fight!
The Relay For Life of King George is looking for volunteers for the Team Ambassador program. This person would be a leader and mentor for a small group of Team Captains who have fundraising teams for our Relay For Life Event.
This person would plan monthly meetings with their group of team captains. The American Cancer Society will send this individual monthly meeting plans that they will follow. This person would also be the mentor for these Team Captains; encouraging them, giving them advice, and answering any quesions they may have. Ambassadors will work closely with their Lead to answer any questions they may not know the answer to. These individuals will also track their Team Captains fundraising success throughout the year, coming up with fun and creative ways to celebrate their sucess.
Team captains and their Ambassadors would work together to decide when and where they meet. For busier people, they might choose to have monthly phone confrences while others might choose to meet for coffee or pizza.
The perfect volunteer for this role would be someone who has great leadership skills, who loves people, and has great interpersonal skills.
