Are you ready to make a positive impact by being a tutor and mentor for amazing school-aged children? Avalon Housing supports families who have experienced homelessness. We currently have a need for volunteers at our two After School Programs located at Carrot Way and Pauline Community Centers. We are recruiting volunteers who can commit at least 1 day a week now through the end of the school year in mid June. Our program at Carrot Way needs volunteers from 3:30-5:00 pm, Monday - Thursday. Volunteers work alongside and under the guidance of Avalon staff and interns to provide a safe, fun and creative learning environment. Volunteers must be willing to complete all forms associated with gaining clearance to work with Avalon youth, including a background check.
If you feel this may be a good fit for you please contact Avalon's Community Relations Coordinator, Andrea, via email at awilkerson@avalonhousing.org or via phone at 734.663.5858 ext. 212. Make a difference, Help students succeed, Have fun!
