San Diego Public Library Homework Coaches assist K-8 students with their homework, as part of the Do Your Homework @ the Library program.

Activities

  1. Assist K-8 students with their homework at the Oak Park Branch Library

Desired Qualities

  1. Comfortable communicating with children, teens, and library staff
  2. Proficient in reading and writing, and willing to help with English, math, science, and other subject assignments
  3. Willing to learn and follow instructions and library rules
  4. Patient, empathetic, mature, and flexible
  5. Bilingual skills are a plus
  6. Background check required
  7. Must be able to provide own transportation to and from library site
  8. Minimum age: 15

Training and Support

Training will be provided. No prior teaching experience is necessary.

Time Commitment

6 months, 4 hours/month, afternoons and evenings
